I'm not an outgoing person at all, so my college experience wasn't a non-stop party like you see on a lot of TV shows. In fact, there were sometimes whole months when nothing particularly interesting happened for me. However, there were a lot of great times as well. Best four years of my life.

I've learned Monday-Friday are all business (work and school) and the weekends are ALL MINE!

That's pretty much how I do it. I don't do much but study and attend club meetings during the week, but Friday night and Saturday are always no study times. Its a good way to get the grades you want but still have a life.

Personally, I thought College sucked. Academically, I was always being slowed down by either those on the .gov financial aid teet who had no vested interest in obtaining a quality education or by the way of the rich kids who had no worries as mommy and daddy were footing the bill. Drinking gets old after a while and I was never too interested in hanging around with the sorostitutes. I worked my ass off to pay for it myself and in cash.

Graduate school, now that was a blast. Finally, I had reached a place academically where whining and "its not fair" couldn't substitute for busting your ass. I was finally in a class, less than 15 people, who were all at least competent with elementary math and calculus. It's much better to wake up next to a woman who at least has a brain in her head with which you can have a decent conversation about something other than chewing gum during breakfast.

Get through Uni as fast as humanly possible. Go to Grad school. Thats where the real experience is IMO.

In shows like Greek and teen movies, College always looks very fun and I feel like I'm missing out going to an Australian University. Is it really as cool as it seems on TV?

No. Real world has more responsibility but is much, much more rewarding and enjoyable.

Focus on your education and get it done as quick as you can then you can make $ by applying it.

The most noble achievement of college is putting everyone in debt just before they start life, so that they'll have to be pinned down in dead end jobs. :p

Huh, ya know, I never thought of it like that. I know you were just joking, but it's an interesting point. There are lots of shadowy things that society and the government do to try to keep us in line so that we don't cause a ruckus while they take more and more power away from us. I'm not immediately ready to believe that this college-debt-as-suppression is the actual reason for massively increasing college debts, but I do think it's a very curious concept you've pointed out which is worth considering the validity of.

College are the best years of your life, enjoy it.

It's a big step from high school, with more freedoms and more responsibilities. Yes, you can party all day and drink all the time if you want to, but chances are, you'll fail most of your classes and fall behind badly.

Know when to party, and know when to do your work. Find a decent balance, and college is wicked fun.

1) clicks are alot more prevelent on college campuses than what is portrayed in Tv and movies. Many college students suffer from bouts of social isolation (believe it or not).
2) Roommate conflicts are alot more prevalent
3) most college kids have very little money, therefore fun has to be obtained from relatively inexpensive items, poor travel accommodations.

all-in-all life after college is better but having no responsibilities has it perks.

Absolutely. Graduation was bittersweet. But it's all about what you make of it. If you sit in your room all day and don't go out and do things, it's your own fault. You have to make the best of it.
