I'd held back updating the iPad2 given some of the forum noise, but just taken the plunge and it's fine.

All the things I like about iOS7 on the iPhone I like on the iPad2 and all the things dislike are still there, namely 9 app folders, poor multitasking and hideous dock. All things I'll live with until a JB comes out :D

Did notice the wallpaper took an age to change, but don't do that very often.

For whatever reason, my keyboard is all but unusable on my iPad 2 after the iOS 7 update. It takes almost 3-5 seconds for the keyboard to recognize an input.

Any thoughts on what I could do? I've shut down all apps and rebooted a few times to no avail...

Settings - General - Reset is what people say works.

I can confirm that resetting all settings fixes the terrible lag on my iPad 2. All is well in the world again...
:p

I did a clean install of ios 7 on my ipad 2 and so far it works great. It's at least as fast as ios 6, if not a little faster. I haven't experienced any lag at all, even when changing the wallpaper that people are complaining about. I guess the way to go is to just do a fresh install.

As for the battery life, it's only been about six hours so I can't say yet if it's better or worse.

Well I updated & the only areas I have noticed some slow down on is opening things like settings & swapping between letters & numbers on the keyboard.

Offsetting that is to me Safari seems a touch faster & looks a lot better as does the whole UI even allowing for the lower resolution screen.

Only 9 apps per page in the folders on the iPad as well? That won't be usable (too much swiping) for us since the family at the moment has three game folders, all full.

I put it on my dad's iPad 2 yesterday. Didn't notice any issues with it. I mean aside from no Retina display. Ugh, I'm spoiled.
