It is going be a hard decision!!!!!!
I bought the Galaxy Tab S2 (8 inch), iPad mini 4 & iPad Air 2 to compare side by side. In the end, I'm keeping the Air2 which I got on the Staples $150 off deal.

My experience:
The Samsung had the best display of the 3 (hands down). The display was simply beautiful (deep blacks, rich colors, etc...), the performance was great and I liked a lot of small things about Android (i.e. Like the keyboard having a row of numbers along the top & many keys are multifunction that respond to long touches to activate 2nd function.....greatly speeds typing). I also liked the SD slot to expand storage. However, what killed the experience for me was the lack of quality Android apps optimized for tablets. Two examples: The Facebook app for Android is awful on the S2 (pictures on it look terrible for example) vs an excellent FB app on IOS. Amazon video only streams SD on Android....HD for IOS (i.e. Important if you are an Amazon Prime member). Also, I found the battery life on the S2 to be less than stellar. My understanding is the battery performance on the S2 9.7 is a hair less than on the S2 8.0. I think they made some major compromises with the battery size to make the S2's as thin and light as they did.

I decided to keep the Air 2 over the Mini 4 (tough call by the way) for a couple of reasons. First, I'm finding that I prefer the bigger display. Second, the A8x in the Air 2 is still a beastly processor that I think will make it a bit more future proof than the A8 in the Mini 4 (personal opinion only). The Air 2 is awesome.

My 2 cents: If you like Android, are okay with the android app situation for Android, can live with a battery life that is a tad short, the S2 a great tablet (IMO). If you want to try IOS, the Air 2 is awsome. The only areas where the Air2 fall short of the S2 (IMO) are: display and lack of storage expadability option. There have been some great deals on the Air 2 lately. Good luck with your decision!

Alright guys I got the IPad Air 2 64gb/grey and I think I have definitely made the right decision getting the Air 2 over the Tab S2 9.7.

My 1st impressions are great, it is very lightweight and very portable for a full sized tablet(9/10 inch) and at 6.1m is ridiculously very thin and it is super fast/smooth while loading and switching between apps/games thanks to the very powerful A8x chip and 2GB of RAM and the retina display is beautiful/excellent and the battery life is great based on my 1st day of use. :)

Going to upgrade the IOS(8) to IOS 9 today!

I'm sooo glad that I not waited for the Air 3 and got the Air 2 and it is way better then my tablets(Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700 i5 Core)!!

Looking forward to using my new tablet(iPad Air 2) for many years to come!! :) :) :D :D

Might even do a review of the Air 2 in the future as well!
Congratulations! That's the exact one I got! Enjoy!!

And regarding the speakers when I have the volume from about halfway and upwards the speaker vibrates while watching videos, playing games more personally I don't find it annoying at all, I think it is good and brings some bass and the sound quality is great but at the same time I always use my headphones instead of the speakers anyway and I know lots of people are having the speaker vibrating on there IPad Air 2 I think it is due to the insane thinness of the Air 2.

And the con that I found so far on the Air 2 is the Google Chrome app(with 4/6 tabs open) have crashed on me randomly for no reason. :(

Anyway i am going to upgrade the IOS(8) to IOS 9 today and try out the new multitasking features like split view!!

I'm sooo glad that I not waited for the Air 3 and got the Air 2 and it is way better then my other tablets(Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700 i5 Core) and I am still going to use my other tablets but not as much now as IPad Air 2 will be my main tablet now!!

Looking forward to using my new tablet(iPad Air 2) for many years to come!! :) :) :D :D

Now I am a iPad user!!!

The Tab s is a train wreck. So many issues. I had three of them over the last 6 months. Horrible battery life. Even with battery saver on, and the screen at 35%, none of my Galaxy Tab s could surf the web for more than 5 hours. The new Tab S2 is even worse with a smaller battery. The TabS was slow and stutters when scrolling with lollipop and there were numerous glitches that would pop up. He would also get very hot when trying to do any multitasking or put it under any kind of load. My wife couldn't stand her Tab S I purchased for her and ended up going back to her iPad 2 because it was smoother and faster, so what does that tell you.

The Air 2 is in a completely different league speed and performance wise. The only redeeming quality with the Samsung is the screen. It's beautiful but it is a power hog (especially with when white pixels are required.) I found out that the Tab S is essentially a flashy car with a small motor and a small gas tank with great performance specs on the window sticker.

I would put a Air 1 against any Galaxy in a speed test.

I have a few android tablets as well as many IPads and to be honest the most reliable android tablets has been the Lenovo's.
I can only assume you have a duff tab s, mine performs flawlessly.. with great battery life .. the best screen ever produced coupled with a thin and light profile... videos, browsing, games.. all look amazing... with fantastic performance.. what's not to love..
