just picked up a 64g in menlo park when the store opened at 10...

....they told me 16g was available but in very low supply....32 and 64g are still in stock.

Seriously?

I doubt its much help. But the one in Jacksonville has all the accessories.

Now what good this information do for you?

I just like knowing stuff.

Durham store, went in at 10am for unrelated appt, things were pretty calm and lots of accessories up. By the time I went back at 11:15 to pick up my MacBook, the place was at what i would typically consider weekend crowds, with all 16 iPad demo stations in use and a crowd at the accessories shelf.

It seems like the sales numbers for the weekend were pretty low, so take this for what it's worth.

iPad 2 Sold Out Everywhere

It's pretty pathetic what Apple did with this launch.

They did not have enough to meet demands. Everyone wants the 2G iPad, so obviously they should have expected double to triple sales in the first weekend.

What did Apple do, launch a product with enough for a couple of hours of retailing. Here in the LA area, all stores were sold out within 30 minutes. My local Best Buy had 15 in stock. That's it!

The frustrating thing, is that Apple can do this, and I really wanted an iPad!:(

I just need to deal with it, and wait 4 weeks for an iPad 2!

I don't think you're grasping how many people showed up to the stores. The manager of the apple store I went to said there were a reported 700 people in line before I got there, each allowed 2 iPads. Then you factor in all the best buys and other retailers that sold out. It is in HIGH demand. I'm surprised I got one at all. I don't believe your stores were sold out in 30 minutes. I got my iPad at 9:30 and the apple store wasn't completely dry yet.

I suggest you check your stores later this week. I'll bet you can get one in a few days instead of 4 weeks.

Tampa and Brandon Apple stores were sold out by noon today. I didn't check Best Buy.

Oh, and Tampa store had some cases, but not all of the colors. I went ahead and bought the color I wanted, since they only had 3 left.

Did they mention whether they would get more in on Sunday or any other days?
