Go with the 6S+ you won't be disappointed... However, if your phone comes on iOS 9 keep it there until the 10 update gets a few bug fixes. I think of the 7 as a lateral move instead of an upgrade. It's different for the sake of being different, but the 6S/+ out perform it in some tests and even blow it away in others.

Haven't heard the 6s blowing away the 7 in test. You have a link for that?

There's been posts on here comparing the cameras. The 6S is better, also boot times on the 6s are almost half, and in an app test they are almost identical - the 6s winning sometimes.

Having the 6S is not worth upgrading to the 7. I have seen too many comparisons and the 7 is not really that much of an upgrade except for a couple of things.

This is actually a good year for Android sans the Note 7. Plenty of decent phones to pick from.
OnePlus 3 and ZTE Axon 7 are budget flagship phones. Moto Z, S7, HTC 10, LG G5 and the new V20 and so on. Not to mention the 2 Pixel phones coming out next month.
I can't remember any other year that there were this many options.
The 6s is still fantastic but I would recommend the Plus just for the battery life alone!

Oh yeah I would definitely do the plus. I can't go smaller now.
There are lots of good Android phones out...but they all usually have SOME compromises too.
I am definitely going to wait and see what the Pixel phones offer before I decide. The Google teaser with all of the pictures seemed promising, at least as far as the Pixel camera goes. However, their teaser about Allo also seemed promising so I'm not trying to get too excited lol.

I have the 6s running IOS 10. I love it. Fast, smooth and no issues. I agree with most here, get the 6s unless you want the newest phone. They are nearly identical and the small upgrades, imo, don't justify the price difference.

The 7 is a great phone, the camera seems to be its best feature (IMHO). But to be honest, it didn't blow my socks off when I saw the keynote. I was using a 2 year old 6+, the camera had to be replaced (it was part of the recall a while back) and I was recently having a few other small issues. I decided to upgrade 3 weeks ago and chose the 6S+ (if the 8 is released next year, I'll probably be all over that). I am absolutely 100% thrilled that I did and LOVE this phone. And the iOS 10 update is fantastic on it. I use it fairly regularly most of the day. I took it off the charger at 6:30 this morning and at this very moment I have 79% battery left and that's with NO extra charging since I took it off the charger this AM. It's an awesome phone and I don't think you'll regret getting the 6S+ if that's the route you decide to take.

Aren't the 6s and the 7 nearly identical? lol
No but I'm sure s/he's being sarcastic.

The processor is AMAZINGLY FAST.
The camera is better at capture details even at 12mp.
And it's water/dust resistant (something I feel a lot of people forget as opposed to other "features").

That said, the 6S is still a solid phone. I wouldn't mind keeping mine but I wanted the all black...and the bigger size (I was on 6s reg)... and the telephoto lens.

But I definitely noticed a difference with the seven. Maybe not cosmetically with the other colors (silver, rose gold and gold) but internally it's been jacked up. Also having plus with 3 gb of ram :)

Thanks for the replies. So maybe I should go all in and get the iPad and the MacBook too? :)

That is what happened to me a couple of years ago. I bought an iPhone 5s which was my first Apple product to own. Since then i have bought several Apple products (see sig). I have a 6s now and loving the hell out of it. I will probably keep it a couple of years before upgrading.

Had the choice of buying a 6S or a 7. I've had a lot of phones, both Android and Apple. I settled on the 6S because of all the problems I've heard about the 7. I guess I could have gotten a perfect phone with no yellowing and good brightness, but I didn't want to take the chance. IOS 10 makes the 6S very solid.
