Yeh, he just kinda blurted out the 2.1 and that was it. Didn't talk about it at all. I thought that was kind of weird.

Well I probably could have afforded a yacht with all the money I've spent with Apple over the last 11 years, but I'm fairly certain Apple couldn't give a sh** about me!cellocello said:I thought we were the "VIPs" of Apple's clientele, but I guess not?
I'm getting the impression that the iPhone isn't Apple's crown jewel. I thought we were the "VIPs" of Apple's clientele, but I guess not?
If this is kind of thing that stresses you out, and you "demand" be changed - you guys gotta chill out. It's made and sold by someone else, not you. There's not much you can do other than make a request / suggestion, or buy something else and move on. Or, I guess, get a job there and usurp the decision makers.
I'm not trying to be an "apple apologist" (like I've been accused of) or whatever, but the phone is what it is. What is bitching about it's design decision going to accomplish? What is being righteous about it all about?
Content your superior complex and stop thinking to yourself Apple's supposed to make you feel like a VIP just because you own an iphone. It's just another phone.
