iPhone 16 Pro Is it a problem if the SIM tray on my iPhone 16 Pro doesn’t sit properly on one side?

Hello! I have a problem with the SIM-card tray on my iPhone 16 Pro. When I insert the tray, one side sits perfectly flush with the frame, but the other side sticks out just a little. It’s a bit noticeable and you can feel it under your finger, which is somewhat annoying. Is this something I should worry about? I’m not sure what to make of the waterproofing or how it might affect the phone’s performance in the future. Right now it reads the SIM card without any problems. Unfortunately, I can no longer return it, but in theory I could request an exchange for a new one if a factory defect is confirmed. However, since the phone is provided by a carrier in Poland, an immediate exchange isn’t possible; I can only request a replacement once an authorized service center confirms the defect.

Nah, my 13 Pro did that and other than it being annoying there’s no real impact.

I'd bet they're going to say there's nothing wrong with the phone and it's within tolerances. Water resistance won't be effected by something so minimal..

I’d be a bit concerned too — even small misalignments could affect waterproofing. If one side sticks out, it might not seal properly. Best to have a service center check it, just to be safe.

Apple or AASP should be able to offer a replacement card tray. It’s unlikely the chassis is bent.
