A friend of mine works t mobile in Florida, and was told they are getting zero iPhone 6 plus. This is the case for most t mobile stores in Florida so take that for what it's worth...

I think you'd better be pretty close to the front of the line. Like first 20 or so.

Last year for the 5S at the Falls mall in Miami at least. I think there were like 5-10 gold iPhones max. If supply is like that then you'd have to be one of the first in line. That'd mean getting there ridiculously early.

Friday night I did a chat and he said I would have to call Premier Support on Monday morning. I said "So there is no way I can cancel this order before Monday morning?" He apologized and said yes. Saturday morning I called the order support line and it automatically directed me to Premier, which was closed. I called back to the regular customer support number and was able to cancel it in 5 minutes.

I won't order from ATT again.

When i tried to preorder at the AT&T store last friday it was a mad house. Their system kept crashing and some of the employees were even using two iPads to try and put preorders in. In the middle of the preordering I pulled out my phone and preordered via apple.com within 2 mins. Told the girl forget about the preorder and walked out. I will never attempt to try and preorder an iPhone with AT&T again.

----------

I'm gonna do what I did with the iPhone 5 launch. Checked apple.com supply every night around 10pm. Was able to secure one a couple of days after release. Claimed it at like 10:10pm and went to the apple store to pick it up at 1am. Hopefully it works this time around because I don't want to wait 3-4 weeks for my preorder to ship.

My last iPhone was the 4, until now with the 6+ - isn't it like this every year with AT&T? I don't understand why anyone that wants to receive their phone on the launch day would ever order from a carrier - just order from the Apple Store and be done with it.

If it was me I would skip the carriers this time around for the Plus. I usually go to AT&T store every time and once these sell out on Apple on line fast like the Plus did a carrier may get one or two of that model if any. Frankly I would go to a Apple store in this case and given you want a 128gb there maybe a good chance of getting one. I ordered on Sunday no less a 6 128gb Gold as it was the only thing left online from Apple. Bigger than I need but I can fill it too. Lol

I am expecting the 6+ to be like the Gold and Silver 5S last year. The carrier stores (with very few exceptions) didn't receive any at all and the Apple stores typically had fewer than 5. They had thousands of space grey models.

I predict that the iPhone 6 will be readily available for anybody that wants to wait and the 6+ will be available to the people who line up at noon on Thursday.

I know AT&T bashing is in vogue around here...but this is more of a supply issue than an AT&T issue. People who ordered the 6 on AT&T are getting them on launch day because (wait for it) there is plenty of supply.

Apple has a limited number of 6 Plus models available for launch. Apple's own site crashed soon after it started accepting preorders, people ordered from AT&T because their site was working...yet it's AT&T's fault they can only ship the limited number they received from Apple?

Rather than deflecting blame to everyone else, folks who wanted the 6 Plus just need to accept that Apple didn't produce enough devices for launch day and they aren't going to be enough to meet demand.

-My Back Story - Primary Question Below, feel free to skip my sob story-

I preordered my iPhone 6 Plus Silver 128GB on Thursday night 15 Mins before AT&T was supposed to even activate the preorders. I was in & out in 30 seconds and received my conformation email immediately. I thought I had beat the system, boy was I wrong.

4 days & 50 Phone calls later, AT&T deposited money into my account instead of withdrawing it, then withdrew the money they deposited, then a supervisor pushed my order through and they deducted the money again and I lost my shipping spot of the 19th and now my new shipping date is Nov 27th to December 3rd.

Even now they are saying my credit card is declined, even after I have repeatedly told them that they already deducted the money from my account, verified it 3 times with my bank that they did, there is plenty of money in there if they wanted to deduct it again, I even used another Credit Card and that came back declined again. ( Funny thing is that my Girlfriend and also my Best Friends Credit Cards were also declined )

I have owned every single iPhone and this is the worst luck I have ever had with a preorders so I'm thinking about kicking it old fashion, filling a flask with some whiskey, grabbing my fold out chair and making my way to the Ventura Blvd. Corporate AT&T store in Sherman Oaks, California to camp out Thursday night to try and get my phone on Friday.

^^^^Incase you Don't Feel Like Reading All That This is My Primary Question Below^^^^

Do you guys think there will even be any 6 Plus 128GB Silver ones available on Friday, even if I'm the first person in line or am I just wasting my time trying?

(The Refresh Button helped me win the battle but the war was ultimately lost)

Waiting in line probably won't do you any good unless you're close to the front. Just walk into a CARRIER STORE or a couple on launch day. They're usually much less crowded than Apple stores, and have a better shot at having some stock.

The other alternative is to wait for Apple to begin letting you reserve a phone for pick up at the store the night before. After 10pm you can check Apple's site for stock in your area, then you just reserve and pick up.

The 6 Plus is going to be constrained but I think either of these two options will net you one quicker than your current shipping date.

Of course...you *could* also just take a breath and wait for your phone. You're getting it. You're in. Anticipation is usually more fun than the thing you're anticipating. ;)

Agree and what we need to remember there are far more carrier stores than Apple stores in a given town. I'm in Phoenix 4 Apple stores compared to maybe a 100 a AT&T stores. That reduces the allotment right there between the carrier stores. Its simple math

My goodness. Noon on Thursday? I was planning on lining up 3 am.. Friday morning. But there will actually be people lining up at noon on Thursday? That's an 20 hour wait.. Wow!

That's what I've been trying to tell my wife too. We're not lining up (as of yet) but she wants to. I've never seen her want a new iPhone the way she wants this 6+; I may end up in line after all!

At least if we do, it'll be fun to hang out with her.

Really? Only 15 (or less) 128GB silver per store?
Just to be guaranteed it. No point waiting hours in line in 30th position. The probability of getting one is greatly reduced. I will try and be in the first 5 to guarantee I can get the 64g+, and I'm willing to go up to the 128gb if the 64 is sold out.

Speaking for someone that has always gotten an iPhone on launch day from AT&T I would say you would have to be first in line to get the one you want. They alway sell out of the higher models first because they don't have much of those in supply. You will get lucky with a 16gb though. This is why I preorder this year because I wanted more than the base model. People are probably already camping out so good luck. You might want to call around first and try and find a AT&T store with less foot traffic.

Check Thursday night if stores got any for release on Friday. Other than that, Apple is best bet on Friday but plan to lose sleep.

I could get into the spirit of the line thing if you were guaranteed to get the phone you want. Lining up for the *shot* at the phone? No way.

You might have some better luck in the electronic stores (as far as lines are concerned). Maybe try Best Buy, Target, Radio Shack, etc.

How many + models did Apple have for launch day delivery?

Not many.

So we are figuring that in spite of that, they are going to have 10/20/30 even in stores Friday? Nope. Sorry.

They aren't going to say it, because they want people to line up and settle, but mark this post:

There will be a FEW (1-9) Plus's, and they will be at APPLE stores only. Just like the Gold 5S last year, there will be rumors of Plus's at carrier stores, but when the sales start, it will all be base 6's.

There is NO way I would line up with the hopes of getting a Plus at this point.

You will end up settling for something you don't want, and wating a lot of time doing so. Order it, be patient, and I promise you'll live.

If you die from waiting for a phone, you'll make national news and it'll be worth it anyway...

If you are talking about waiting at ATT.

Call the ATT corporate store that you want to wait at tomorrow and Thursday. Ask to talk to the manager...first tell them about your many years with ATT...then tell them about the credit card fun issues that you had... Then ask them the same question about waiting in line. Be specific about the Plus 128 GB. If you are lucky they will be truthful. If not you can still call him out.

I guess you are getting the truth if he pauses before answering instead of saying sure... we'll have plenty of each color and model.

Depending on where you are... yes. Here in Central Florida there is one particular mall that allows people to line up and generally, they are there mid afternoon Thursday. I really think you'll have to be at the front of the line for a 6+.

Here is the bottom line. There are droves of people that did not get to preorder a phone online or did order it and are appalled at the shipping estimates given.

Many preorders were cancelled in hopes they will fare better by waiting in line at the various retail stores. Many preorders, like yours, were cancelled without your control.

This launch is shaping up to be Apple's biggest launch for any product to date. You can take any advice that you want in hopes of scoring probably THE most sought after phone(128GB 6+ ATT Space Grey), but if you live in a highly populated area I would at the least see if lines start forming in the early evening of the night before launch.

I live in a densely populated area and the latest I recall anyone lining up for a phone launch is in the area of 10pm the night before. This was for a phone without quite as much buzz as the 6 series.

I can tell you're not very familiar with Apple releases and people camping out for them. Many people in the past have started camping out 5 days before the launch.

I would say it's a good bet more people than normal did try to order at Apple this year considering how the servers crashed.

Bit when I saw Apple Store down, I tried ATT for a bit at the same time.

There were also some options like add a line that weren't available at the Apple Store that made some orders go through ATT.
