Now he has another excuse to bump the thread repeatedly,,,,,

My double tap on space bar is still doing a 'comma',,,,,,,,, it sucks,,,,,,,

I'm not "bumping" this thread I'm simply hoping to find others who have noticed how bad it's gotten in hopes of bringing it to Apples attention. It's absolutely unacceptable.

I think what you're thinking about is caps lock switching off at the end of a sentence, which it still does in iOS 7. Either way, it's always worked the same way.

Now I remember what it was! I was confusing space bar with "send'. When you sent a text, it used to turn off caps lock. It no longer does this. I'm not sure which exact version of iOS this changed on, but on 5.01 it most definitely did this.

Got it. I just tested on my iPad running 7.1, and it does stay on caps lock after you sent a text. 7.1.1 appears to have changed this.

Did you read below the poster saying it does turn off after sending a text in 7.04??

Okay just hating on a guy thats looking for help, shame on you.

I have the same problem. my iphone, since steve jobs has died, has progressively gotten much worse over the past 2 years. To the point where, yes it changes simple, simple words that never used to be a problem into something that doesn't resemble any language whatsoever. It used to correct into perfect english. But no just trying to type english it will correct it into em gliz or something similarly abhorrent. Name calling and pointing a finger at someone asking for help just makes you look like a tool. Some of us genuinely want to know how the hell are we progressing backwards. It does not learn anymore, it does not adapt. There has to be an internal decision made along the timeline of the past two years that directly affected it. And if you say you do not have any trouble with autocorrect on an iphone, you are either trolling these boards, and do not own an iphone, or you don't know how to spell or speak this language because it's not an isolated problem. You do not see the whole of the internet community going bonkers over this subject? Now please, if someone else is knowledgeable about the subject, please share some insight, Please and thank you!

I've never been able to type at the speed I used to and rely on autocorrect if I miss a few letters out skating my fingers across the keyboard like it used to do in iOS6.

It also added some utter giberish to my dictionary when I was typing that fast. The interface speed is snappy but the keyboard input is slower than ever.

I have the same issue, it has gotten progressively worse over the past couple years it seems. I used to text impeccable english, and now my phone tries to correct english to en bshi - maybe the digital autocorrector from the old days threw his/her life away, and is now living in the farthest and darkest alcoholic gutters of digital insanity.
Sorry this is a sore subject! Its supposed to adapt to your way of talking, this almost seems on purpose. You have to actually try to be this bad at something honestly.
Please anyone know anything as to the reason of autocorrect's descent into madness??

Autocorrect is whacky. I'm starting to note down the auto "correct" it does for me, because both me and the fellow iPhone users in my household find some of the corrections obscure.

and YES, I think that since iOS7 my screens have been unresponsive too.

I can't wait to say iOS7 is dead, long live iOS8. iOS7 is pants.
