Is it just me or is the cynicism here more prevalent than on most other forums?

I've found there are really only a handful of habitual haters, after adding them to my ignore list it made reading any thread much more pleasant. Some Apple owners are pleasant people, some are elitist yuppie scum, they each have the right to post though just as we have the right to ignore and/or make fun of them.

Tip: an easy way to set a trap to flush some of them out is to post something positive about Bose, that really riles them up.

The iPhone sub forum and the Politics, Religion and Science are the worst. Comparatively, the Apple TV section is great. I've never been down voted or up voted there sand nor have many of the other posts I've seen. People post sensibly and don't give a damn about something as fraught as the rating system.

I've been spending most of my time in the iPhone subforum and to be honest, people there are dicks. I don't know if that's the case in the other subforums as well, but I post on quite a few other forums and have never seen it as bad as it is here.

No. This forum is way more tame than most other places in terms of people being dicks on the internet.
