I prefer it turned off. Why do people like this feature?

EDIT - After a few more days with it, I’m starting to like how easy it is on the eyes

Well, it may not look 'beautiful' or anything, but I use it because it makes the experience a bit more 'seamless'. Without it's just an incredibly bright screen. With True Tone on, it matches the effect that a piece of paper produces. And that is a very natural effect.

It really comes to personal preference. I understand how many people might dislike it and rather keep it off. And in certain situations I'll be turning it off too. But during normal usage I like the pretty subtle effect it adds.

It subtly matches the color temperature of the display to the color temperature of the environment you're in. It's easier on your eyes, makes the device blend into the environment as a normal object would, and it doesn't really affect accurate color rendering.

If you don't like it, or it's affecting color-sensitive work that you're doing, it toggles on and off very easily.

I've had it on my ipad pro (9.7) since I got it last year and love it, but its mainly because I use it for reading. I can see it being an issue when youre trying to compare pictures on your device. I wish that was a feature you could add to the control center.

I don't like truetone either but I really think it depends on your eyes. As our eyes age we tend to see more yellow naturally so perhaps trutone amplifies that effect. I prefer cooler tones personally so keep it turned off.

True tone was always turned off on my iPad pro. I did not like it at all. If you like your colors to pop, you are better off not even using it. It's a nice tool to make your screen crazy yellow.

I learned to deal with it with my iPad Pro and maybe because it never moves and usually in the same lightning position all day but on my iPhone I cant stand it and I turn it off. I get the purpose but when im home it gets way too yellow for my liking.

It is in the control center on iOS 11 with the new phones. Use 3D Touch on the brightness and it then pops up along with the switch for night mode.

Excellent feature and gave it a good 24 hour run but I decided to turn mine off as well.

Unless you really like cool hues the True Tone is great. If I end up keeping my 7+ instead of my 8+ I will miss that feature.
