I find the display on my M1 12.9 to be pretty good, judging it primarily from viewing my photos processed on a calibrated system (my desktop, primarily) on the iPad and video viewing. The iPhone is a different animal - I have the 14 Pro Max. Anything photos I take with it are ProRAW and I'll process off the phone, on my desktop, etc. I probably should have been clearer in my earlier statements regarding liking/not liking True Tone - I just don't care for it myself but I don't do anything on the phone that necessitates exacting color accuracy. The base display does have too blue of a temperature but I find True Tone to be too extreme - I wish it was adjustable.Ayyy hello fellow calibrator lol. I calibrate as a hobby, I’ve calibrated my friend’s TVs and stuff.
Oh I was talking about the iPhone True Tone in this case, I haven’t seen the iPad’s yet. If TVs could have something like True Tone and retain the calibration settings accurately in all lighting situations it would be a dream
