I observed something a little unusual, when working late on one of my rMBP`s, with the rMB sleeping. I generally close the Notebooks lid, however recently I inadvertently left it open. When I increased the volume on the rMBP, the rMB woke to the log in screen, this only happens after a reasonable period of time say 15 min to 30 min, equally the behaviour can be repeated systematically, both share the same WiFi network. Logs also confirm the wake ups.
Am going to see if my Wife`s Mac`s trigger the same response, as this will isolate the behaviour to my Apple account and not solely the router/WiFi network devices etc. My best guess is that as both Mac`s are sharing the same Bluetooth Speaker (B&O Beolit 15), it may well just be this, and nothing more, as all three devices are wirelessly linked, if so it will be easy to define if it`s the cause.
I don't own any IOS devices, however do own multiple Mac`s that I frequently switch over to dependent on my usage, nor do I see excessive "wake up`s" equally the behaviour interested me. I wonder if other users Mac`s are being effected by their other Mac`s, IOS devices and or BT network devices resulting in evermore "wake ups" I don't run permanent network shares, however both Mac`s are clearly linked by Airtime.
So with this observation in mind, it may be entirely possible that other devices are waking up your Mac`s and killing the battery by preventing the systems from fully entering hibernation. It would also explain to some extents why so many have tried multiple avenues with their Mac`s to prevent "wake up`s" (clean installs, deleting network PLIST files, new user account etc.) with no resolution, as the "wake ups" are due to external influence not the system OS.
