Yeah when I saw the 1GB of ram I thought it was impressive for this machine so I impulse bought it. If I sell it I’m probably getting a G5 machine because PowerPCs are fun and G5 machines are able to do the basics of the basic like YouTube at 360p and good word processing.

Hard as it may be to believe but yes, you can get by with 1Gb RAM and 40Gb HDD.

Did it for a year before buying a 1gig ram stick so for a year I was running on 384 mb ram with the built in ram and a 128 mb ram stick

I did it with an 800mhz iMac G4 between Spring '15 and Fall '16.

I was fine.

These really do make good school machines as long as you take care of them
