Have new iPhone, afraid to peel sticker and start to use it because screen protector hasn’t arrived yet. If I do choose to use the phone and apply screen protector later… is there some technique or way to clean the screen so it is as clean as brand new? Any products like windex or something? If not possible… will just keep phone unopened until screen protector arrives.

You are overthinking. I use iPhone without case and screenshield and I care more and when I get the screenshield, I use something like Wosh! or liquid that comes with screenshield, clean it and put screenshield on it..

Issue is the screen protector I want is not available yet… need to wait…

The best cleaning product that I have used is Omnicleanz recommended by a family member who works at Apple.

I’ve successfully cleaned my MacBook Pro screen, OLED TVs, DSLR CPL filters, iPhone, and Tesla screens with Omnicleanz.

1) use a sticky lint roller or sticker sheet (comes with certain screen protector brands) and get most of dust/debris off screen

2) spray Omnicleanz and wipe with microfiber cloth

3) use LED light to inspect surface for any missed spots

4) apply new sticker sheet again to remove any dust or blast with air duster can

5) immediately install screen protector

Before I installed one, I did touch the screen for a few swipes to start the transfer. I just used a clean microfiber cloth to wipe down the screen and any finger oil/prints prior to screen protector installation. With exception of a couple pieces of lint (a very tiny one on the left side and another very tiny one at the very top left side), installation looked fine

I had ordered screen protectors on eBay last Friday after preordering, was surprised there were already 14 pro max protectors. But I guess the screen is similar in size to the outgoing 13 pro max

Maybe you'd be interested in applying a lens protector, as well?

I heard lens protectors degrade photo quality to I avoid those. I really wanted to wait to see what the phone was like before I got any screen protector. Zagg unfortunately don’t make products available until launch day.

I’ve heard the same, but my ocd will not allow me to leave the lenses unprotected

The Zagg has the holes for the Face ID and front facing camera punched out which might change your experience for the dynamic island look, as shown in this post on Reddit:

Thank you for sharing this. For me the key to the screen protector is I want blue light filtering and I get concerned if you cover everything if the front camera may not shoot with the highest quality since it has to pass through something. If Spigen or others offer this, would be good to know.

You just need to clean the screen with the products supplied with the protector. Normally a wipe followed by sticky tape. Do it somewhere with good light so you can see if the screen is clear of dust. If it is the application will be as good as straight out the box. The Spigen EZ fit is a fantastic protector but may not give you the blue light filter you want.

Sure, I’ve not had any experience with spigen or known brands, but people seem to think the GlasTR does a great job with little or no affect to the front camera quality

I’m just using cheap screen protectors easily found on eBay that are like $8 for a 2 pack. I think front photo quality is still better than my 11 pro, and it feels good on the screen like the iPhone’s own glass. I did have issues at transfer setup to new phone, however, as the 11 pro could not read the verification graphic (has to input verification manually)
