just use a spectacle lens cleaner and microfiber cloth. It is no biggie.

I like to put the protector on right away also but mine wasn’t set to come until the next day. I ended up using a stylus as much as possible which kept the grease down but it still got dust on it. Used the cleaning wipe and cloth provided with a random Amazon protector and it came out great. Like someone said make sure you are in good light so you can see any dust or marks. I will still plan to put the protector on right away next time but realize it’s easier to clean than I thought.
