Wow, your fiancé is lucky you didn't throw a Note 7. Your temper sounds like my mom's. An old family story is that she once threw a refrigerator at my dad. I doubt it was a full sized one but you never know with her. The woman was fierce. Mom and Dad are in their 80's now and still happily married. Still fierce, but kicking cancer's butt these days, not appliances. I hope it all works out for you and your fiancé.
I'm glad you were able to get your iphone replaced. I once broke a much valued calculator when I was mad. I don't like having to replace things so I've taken to just yelling. Really loud. Boy am I loud. I don't get too mad at people anymore, but sometimes Autocorrect or the voice control thing that's sort of like Siri on my truck can really get me wound up. If people think Siri is stupid they haven't met the computer on my truck.
I'm so glad I'm so cheap... so cheap that I constantly calculate in my head the cost of damages even when I'm angry. So I never break stuff out of rage.
In that case, yeah, buying a new phone was probably your best option. Even here in the US, it still probably would have cost you the same as an out-of-warranty replacement.
I think I worded that poorly. What I meant to say was that the OoW replacement probably isn't much more expensive than any repair option he would have had.
