Is it worth getting an iPhone if you have no friends?

Don't worry about it. I'm very introverted, so I don't really need the company of others to be happy. It's a bit wierd, I know but it doesn't really bother me.

What I really don't understand is what friends have to do with buying one or not. I could understand someone saying they don't need a phone at all if they don't phone or text people, but I don't see what it has to do with the choice of phone model.
