Is it worth it to buy MacBook Air M2 8 RAM vs 16 RAM or go with MA M1?

Go with M1. You really won’t miss out much. M2 is only about 20% faster than M1 in terms of CPU performance anyways (GPU is irrelevant for majors of people).

Save the money from not rushing latest M2 on other stuff. Unless, you really really love new color and determined to get that color.

If the SSD size is 512gb and RAM 16gb, I would recommend a 14" MBP. For 256 I agree that the M1 MBA is better.
