if you are happy with your current device then no..i would only say buy one if you badly needed a phone. i would wait

If you had T-Mobile you could buy the 7+ now then Jump! to a 8 when it comes out.

All good replies. Not too sure what I am going to do, but for now my 6+ does work fine. I also might want to factor in the back order nightmare that could happen with the 8. I actually tried to order the 7+ and would have not gotten it until Thanksgiving.

If I make the jump now I could have a decent phone to hold me over.

I would hold off. I was on the same boat as you not too long ago. I have an iPhone 6s, and thought of upgrading to 7+ because I am unsatisfied with the battery life. Also, the when I saw the photos taken by the 7+ I just fell in love which added to my drive in getting one. However, we're already in May and in five months they will definitely be announcing a new iPhone. A little bit of patience and managing what we have right now can give us a much better product than the 7+ Five months is not a long time and the fear of back order can easily be avoided by staying up late before the day of pre-order to get it sooner rather than later.

I highly recommend to wait, the money you'll put towards a 7+ today can get you a much better product in a few months time with just a little bit of patience.
