I always buy the stainless steel as I feel like the aluminum is too light. My previous watch of choice were G-shock, so I'm used to heavier watches. I like the look and feel of it. Is it worth it? Nope.

If you're going to upgrade every year, I would recommend the Aluminum as the resale value of the Stainless Steel SUCK.

I dunno, the rate at which Apple are advancing their watches, I'm upgrading each year with Nike edition and I don't even know when to go all in on SS or Watch edition, because the advancements year on year are too good for my personal taste. Always on display was necessary.
i 2nd this, until apple watch reach the level of stagnation like going from X to XS is a bare minimum upgrade. i don't feel too good getting a top end model knowing a compelling upgrade can happen in 12 months.
