I am currently using iPhone 12 mini and it works just fine for all my needs. My usage is pretty basic like Camera, Calls, Bank Apps, Ride apps and some office Apps (Having iPad Pro for video and MacBook Pro for real work). So, technically 12 mini can serve me till IOS stops supporting it :) . Only thing that tempts me to upgrade is the camera quality. I am seeing only mixed reviews of 17 camera. Personally I did not see much improvements in base 17 during my Apple store visit. So, Any one who upgraded from 12 series to 17 base,
a) Noticed great improvement in photo quality?
b) if so, can you please post some comparison pics if u still have 12 base/mini?

Note:
iPhone Pro / Pro Max phones are not even an option as I am a mini phone user. Pro weights more and too costly in my country. Not willing to pay 70% extra just for another camera for my basic use.

If you take a lot of mid to lower light photos, then the difference will be pretty significant. If you take a ton of selfies, then the difference could be significant even in decent light. But if most of your shots are the rear camera in decent to great light, while yes there will be some improvements, I don't know if it's worth it if you still love everything about your 12 Mini and its photos are still satisfactory for you.

It's a personal choice, but for me, if my phone takes "only" satisfactory photos, but everything else about it is perfect for me, I don't think I would make the change for the camera alone. It's not like the lower quality photos aren't still capturing the moment, even if certain pixels might look better on the newer phone...

Thanks for your suggestion. Most of my photos are taken in good light. I love the weight and size of 12 mini. No good deals are there for 13 mini in used Market. Since Apple is not going to launch any new mini phone (At least for near future), I thought of upgrading to next lighter phone for Camera.
