I know its offtopic a little, but i am confused on "blobs"?

I have aptbkup and have clicked it. I was undrr the impression that was all thats needed if i later choose to update the ios via itunes and get back my jb apps. Please tell me what i am missing

Super stable. I've done it on a couple iPohne/iPads and haven't had any issues.

Simply put: SHSH blobs, also known as just 'blobs', are required to downgrade firmwares. You get SHSH blobs when you jailbreak on a firmware that is still being signed by Apple. Blobs have nothing to do with backing up your apps.
