It's really amazing how huge the counterfeit marketplace is. I suppose it was inevitable given the popularity of the iphone and the ease of creating knockoffs of simple plastic products.

How are they legally getting away with selling conterfeit cases is what I don't understand esp on a big site like Amazon. I could see ebay or some shady Great Britian site.

Not enough people complaining to Amazon, too many third party vendors to police, etc.

There are tons and tons of sellers for these cases. A few people complain, but not many.

I complained about a phone case, and the seller disappeared. Yeah, they folded up shop in less than a month. No joke.
 
Yes, they have a huge profit margin. But you try creating a case out of thin air and telling me what you would charge for it. They have to design it, tool it, market it, import it, pay corporate taxes, etc.etc. It's not worth it unless you are making millions in profits.

I know I'm not making millions, just enough to keep some cats on the table and shoes on the dogs. ;)

My real one says China, fake says Taiwan. They can change their origin of production. Better to look at the pictures to tell if it's fake.
