how can you get HBO go without cable? if that is possible, i will cancel Comcast first thing tomorrow morning.

Well after a quick google search, it's not possible. That's ****ing retarded on HBO's part.
They are losing so much money.
I have my mom's HBO info for the go service, but I didn't know you had to have cable.

Not really. They make a ton of money via cable companies subsidizing their sign ups. That's why you have Comcast and FIOS offering "free HBO" for a year etc or HBO for only 10 bucks a month. The Cable companies subsidize the difference HBO's gets a ton of customers.

I agree the would make a ton of money offering it on its own but they probably wont want to upset the big cable providers. Maybe if Apple jumps into the whole TV thing, HBO would hopefull go with them through the APP.. (fingers crossed)

Im sure they'd offer it if there would be no complications. The cable companies would probably demand lower prices or something, or already have it in their contracts that HBO won't offer an independent subscription.

It will certainly happen at some point, I just hope its in a year or two and not 20.

Anyways, once Starz go (or is it gone now? I subscribe a lot but am not currently) Netflix's movie list is going to be pretty bad. Its still a good value for the money though, and has a lot of TV shows Hulu doesn't. Worth the money for FX/AMC shows alone if you havn't seen them.

I feel like Netflix is worth it, I caught up on Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, Supernatural, Bones, The Walking Dead, all the anime shows I watch, etc... also my nieces watch all the Disney and Nick things on there.

I tend to watch the same thing's over and over too so I don't care about that aspect of it.

I also like Hulu because if I miss something, the next night I can watch it plus I like the anime shows they have too like Naruto Shippuden.

Netflix just lost a ton of content through starz. They lost the Sony movies off starz and now starz altogether. I will I may cancel Netflix for a few months. I find it best to cycle the premium subscriptions.

HBO go is awesome on the iPad. On the desktop it runs choppy. I think HBO is just having growing pains with the servers.
