Is now a good time to buy a macbook?

I just got one of the new macBooks also.. and i love it.

I went with the super basic model. Then ordered a 4GB ram upgrade and replacement internal HD of the 250GB variant. [ Just came in the mail today, installing tonight ] and i think ill have a lappy that should last me for a bit.

4GB Kingston RAM +107.00
250GB Harddrive +119.00

Total Cost $1125.00 ( and alot of smiles ) !

50.99 for a 2GB stick.

No one knows for sure when Apple will update their products. If you need it now, then buy it. If not, then you might want to wait a bit. Also, I would recommend getting the higher end white macbook as it has a dvd burner and the base one does not.

and conversely.. if you dont have a need to burn DVD's save yourself some moneys!

Its the second newest release from Apple and is therefore unlikely to be touched for the next 4-6 months. The only computers due for a refresh next in the product lineup are the MBPs followed by the iMacs.

Its a very good time to buy
