Still down

I am in Dudley and neither 3G or edge are working again. I was impacted by the outage last Tuesday as well.

I complained last week and got a £10 credit off my bill.

I have written another complaint today - will see what I get this time:)

How did you complain?

Went through the email us option on the contact us section of the O2 site.

Text of reply email from last week's outage below:-
I'm sorry but we suffered a fault with our data network due to which some of our customers are unable to access Internet services.

We've identified the cause of the fault, which relates to the allocation of IP (Internet Protocol) addresses needed to establish a data connection. We've managed to restore data services to the vast majority of customers and are doing everything we can to make sure the few remaining customers are back online as soon as possible.

I've also applied a goodwill credit of £10.00 including (Value Added Tax) and it'll be adjusted on your next bill dated 26 July 2009.

I just sent a complaint too. I'll post what comes back :)

Back up again in S Wales :D

This is the second time in as many weeks! Is this going to be a regular occurrence? They say it's because there are too many iPhones trying to use the network!!! Come on O2 - get yourself sorted!!!

It was a DHCP problem

i've not had an issue at all today in east yorkshire. full 3g signal all day so far.

First affected around 11:30, 'network lost' message for about an hour, until I changed settings to mobile.o2.co.uk and re-started iPhone. Then ok

Since, am continually getting the 'network lost' message and then returning a bit later.

Location London and Harrow

I'm at Uni of Essex at a conference - data been down of and on since last night. One of the delegates rang O2 and was told it was a general data fault. Still intermittent signal here.

4th major O2 outage in less than 2 weeks. Last week we had a data outage, a voice outage and an international roaming outage. 3 of the 4 effected me so I called O2 today to ask what my rebate would be on my bill this month? £10 apparently. As nice as it is for them to offer me this, surely I should not have to call them and ask for the process to cancel my contract? O2 should be offering all customers with a data plan a rebate of some sorts, even it is only a few £.

I am on a simplicity plan and I intend to transfer to Vodafone in 30 days (my notice period).

At least now I have one good reason for living in London. Good 3g reception. Cos there are not Many other plus points ;)

Bah, I'm going to tell o2 to stick it.
I've just ordered a HTC Hero from Orange and will either keep the Hero or unlock the iPhone and use the orange sim in it.

I can stand next to my mate at work who is on Orange and he gets a fast, 3g signal.

Me? I'm trudging along at GPRS on o2....

Which ever one I decide to sell will pay up the remaining months on my o2 contract.
