I am actually excited for the titanium, the weight will be lighter, I have a gold SS7 that I am trading and Graphite SS9 that I bought last year. the SS9 is quite a bit lighter so I tend to wear it more. Looking forward to getting the titanium linked band. Since I jumped in and ordered right when the store opened and there were only 2 colors available for the linked band suspect they do not have the gold one yet and do not have a date when they will so not being offered yet/ But with that new bad the watch should be a lot lighter.

I think it's a plus. Loved my Space Black Titanium - kept my S6 and skipped the S7 SBTi , then no titanium for S8 so kept my S6. Bit the bullet with the S9 stainless steel, but kept my SBTi S6 to use for sleep tracking. Shoulda just waited another year.

Not sure about the slate color but it seems better than the graphite? Preordered a titanium 46mm

It would have pleased me if it'd come with the s9, I'd have bought one in a hot second. Since I really wanted Titanium and a Sapphire display last year, I wound up with the Ultra 2 and haven't regretted it at all. Still, I think it's good that they've gone back to Ti on the series watches.

I haven’t yet, I’m a bit nervous of the jet black and how durable it is so having a think. May order tomorrow. Did you order one?
Yeah I went for the titanium.

Bought a few new straps, too.

Did you know you can get your iPhone pre-order ready, for Friday? Get it early, mate.

I missed that there would be a titanium, when it's supposed to come out?

The stainless steel link bracelets in all three colors are presently available via Apple Watch Studio if that helps - https://www.apple.com/shop/studio/apple-watch

Looks like they push watch delivery out a month though.

I'm just going to see how the new slate watch looks with my old school space black link bracelet.

I ordered the S10 Natural Titanium, but I have a question, will it look like the Natural Titanium phone, which looks tan. I am replacing my S7 SS. My jewelry is silver so I don’t want a tan watch. I am ordering a white phone this year and the frame is supposed to be silver titanium. So I guess there is no titanium watch to match the white phone. Grrrr!

There is, for a price. The Hermès is silver Titanium.

Yeah, not worth that price, but thanks. So you are saying it will be the same color as the natural titanium phone, not the same as the white/silver titanium phone?

I don’t think anybody who wasn’t at the Apple Event today knows for sure. Hopefully some YouTuber will go into details but I doubt it. Removing silver as an option aside from Hermes prices is a real dick move from Apple, I have a Silver Link Bracelet I’ve used since series 0 almost a decade ago that still looks/works wonderfully and was a gift from my now passed away father so means a lot to me. Can’t afford a Hermes though, I was really excited about finally upgrading from the S5 to the S10 but if my lovely Link Bracelet doesn’t match it I will probably not bother. Sigh.

The weight difference doesn't bother me much. The main thing for me is that sapphire remains a choice for the crystal – yay!

The case material doesn't appear to have as much impact on the watch weight as one might assume. Aluminium being about half the density of titanium (a bit more than half, actually), and titanium about half that of steel isn't reflected in the actual watch weights:

For series 9 (larger caliber):
Al: 38.7g vs. SS: 51.5g

For series 10 (larger caliber):
Al: 36.4g vs. Ti: 41.7g (vs. extrapolated SS: 48.4g)

Ah nice, I always go aluminium with the watch but the titanium looks very nice.

I buy on contract so waiting for the carrier deals on iPhone. I don’t think they’ll be available until pre-order day, but I’m not overly bothered if I get mine on launch day tbh.

I've had three gens of ceramic watches, still clinging to S5. They are just so perfect and durable - they've taken a beating and have never had a scratch on any of them. Concerned about any other option showing wear/scratches.

I’m the weirdo who liked the heaviness of SS.

Guess I’ll stick with my SBSS Hermès. I like the weight and the color.
