My Mac is password-protected which makes the situation even weirder. But what is 2FA? And what kind of keylogger or spyware would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

So... RE: password protected mac, that is odd, you might want to check the timestamps on when the Lid0pen happens and cross-reference it with your activity pattern as well to see if its minutes after you leave your desk, or if you use an Apple Watch to unlock the mac, check if you are normally within activation distance.

2FA - 2 factor authentication - it adds an extra step when logging into compatible websites. I've added links below on how to set them up on the big 3 (Apple, Google, FB)

As for the keyloggers and spyware... I'm sure it's somewhere in forum rules that I can't name/link such software, so do a simple google search and you should be able to find a decent one quite easily. The easier way could be to just set up a hidden camera pointed towards your desk/mac (incase you live in a place with strict privacy laws).

I just downloaded a keylogger from a website with a green link... So I should be somewhat safe. In my country you have to have to do something when you feel like someone is doing something illegal. That's actually one of the laws here. So I'm not doing anything illegal.

Hm... Looks like my Mac has been used AGAIN! The console says Wake Reason: XHC1
And it happened a minute after I left it... My keylogger doesn't show anything.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother with key loggers. Just put your password-protected & encrypted machine away and take a picture with your phone of exactly how you stored it. If it's moved when you go to use it again, you'll know one of your roommates has taken your machine.

That's a good idea! I've never thought about that before. Thank you!

Years ago I knew someone who would go to another user desktop while they were at lunch and change the screen saver to some porn image. He picked his victims carefully.

I would not be surprised if they used my Mac for bullying. I've been a bully victim at school.

Dunno what the company/school policy on profanity was but that's kinda funny. (ofcourse wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that)

That's a good idea but its hard to prove it. But thanks anyway!
But than at least u know that it is really opend and not a software glitch. First things first. And it just takes u 5 seconds to install it. After it is proofed u can take the next steps.

No need for trolling the internet

There is a rumor says that with a usb spy device, one could access all you data on your hard drive even with your computer locked. That's why you should always open FileVault.
