IF YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM LISTEN CAREFULLY.

Take your phone back for a FULL refund.

Wait for the next revision.

Steve Jobs is planning to keep the problem quiet and slowly exchange bad phones for the next revision for those that know about the problem.

This strategy is to prevent EVERYONE returning them with a mass recall. It makes more money sense to exchange only for people that are aware of the problem.

How to vote?

I'm not sure how I can vote in your poll, I have a great signal full bars already and even if I hold it 'wrong' I still get full bars but I'm not saying that this will happen all the time, I still have to test it where I don't really get a good signal and be able to try holding it 'wrong' and see what happens. Does anybody else here has a full bars initially and if hold 'wrong' signal drops?

Yes. At home I get 5 bars most of the time. If I hold it normally for me the signal will drop all the way down to searching. However at work, where I also get 5 bars most of the time, the signal will only drop down to one bar.

As long as I keep it in a case or am careful where I put my fingers, the signal is remains strong.

BTW, while I'm waiting for iPhone 4 cases to ship, I'm using a leather case bought for the original iPhone. It's by Orbino of Italy:
http://www.orbino.com/store/index.php?$sid&cPath=107_108_109_110

It fits like a tight glove but covers the front facing camera and LED flash of the back facing camera. I suppose a razer blade or drill could fix that.

NON ISSUE. NO body holds the phone like. Only idiots or Apple haters. If you don't want it give it to me.

If what you are saying is correct, then returning the phone for a full refund now is probably the LAST thing you should do! The minute you have cash in your hand instead of a faulty product, you'll go to the back of the line when it comes to Apple repairing customer satisfaction.

The best thing to do in this situation, if true, is to hang on to the phone, keep it in good condition, and then go to Apple once they have released an improved version. Having a faulty product which needs replacing will get you through their system quicker than a 'new' customer with cash to spend.

Me? I don't seem to have a problem. A minor drop perhaps but never any data issues or dropped calls...

Anyone who has dealt with Genius bar and the hassle of Apple store visits knows that what you are saying is a pure lie.

Thanks for the lie.

You're very welcome. I apologise for not including the obligatory "IMO" which removes any risk of my comment been taken as a rule equivalent to Newtons'.

IF they release a fixed version then there will be huge demand for replacements. I guarantee (IMO ;) ) that Apple will deal with replacement products for those already affected before they sell to new customers... well, that's how the UK store will approach it.
