If you didn't own an iPhone and were deciding between the 7 and 8 which one would you buy ? is the 8 worth the extra 50 bucks ?
It annoys me that apple kept 6s,7 and 8 in the lineup. The 6s should be retired and 7 should be priced lower(possibly same as 6s a year ago) so 8 would price the same as 7 a year ago. So if you just compare 7 and 8, yes 8 is worth 50 extra bucks. But I don't think 8 is worth the price they are now. They kept 6s just to sell 7 and 8 at higher price. Similarly, they even keep the 2 year old 4th gen ATV at the same price just to sell ATV4K at higher price. Good Job Tim.

No, a 64gb iPhone 8 is not worth $50 more than a 128gb iPhone 7.

The only major difference is the processor, but the thing is, you’ll never notice that performance in daily use (unless you run geekbench all day). That’s a consequence of apps being required to run well on 5 year old phones, they can never take advantage of the latest and greatest.

Moral of the story is you’re most likely to notice the difference in available space compared to any other feature.
