Im a big apple fan but only just jumped on to the AW band wagon. When it first launched I didn't see it offering me anything that I didn't already have.

Boy was I wrong lol. Had my AW2 for a week or 2 now and I absolutely love it. It may just be the novelty but I do find myself using it a lot. For me it is actually handy in work and play.

My others have been relegated to the box. I used to wear whatever watch took my fancy that morning but now its always the AW2 :)

In love also.

I no longer have, "remind me to.."

My wife now reminds herself on her AW.

It's actually funny.

Yeah I remember when I got my FuelBand! I loved that thing! I remember I paid like $150 for it too and at the time I thought that was crazy. Now fast forward to an expensive Apple Watch lol. I call it jewelry.

I don't use any other fitness trackers beside the stock one. It suits me fine.

It does for your weights do you use "Other"? Did you calibrate it?

For me, absolutely. I keep my iPhone on silent at all times now. I receive all notifications on my wrist so I won't miss a thing. I love getting notifications on my wrist. I can't imagine not doing so ever again. Also voice dictation works very well for responses. And scribble does a fine job too when necessary. (Writing a reply.)

I use Apple Pay daily. Same idea. Once you use it you never want to go back to swiping a card or inserting it in a slot.

I check into my gym daily with my AW. I do not using the tracking features. Kills battery life and I know I already push myself hard enough in my workouts.

I can control my music on the go which is really handy at times. This includes skipping commercials on podcasts. Sometimes when I'm driving I'll want to hear a specific album or song and I can have the Watch play it on my car stereo.

I would get a Series 1 Sport model if I were you.

That's another thing I missed. Being able to control your music on AW.

I use "Other." It seems to work fine for weightlifting.

True.
Have you (or Anyone) noticed slight play in the button below the (scroll) crown?
Seems if I place my finger on the button I can "wiggle" it...?

I haven't noticed any play. Are you saying it wiggles from side to side, without turning it?

Ah yes I forgot to mention my phone also is on silent 90% of the time especially after work hours and so this is very handy.

The phone is always beeping for some notification for some app and its annoying but now I don't miss that email or text I would maybe have missed until the next time I check the phone and the mrs isn't constantly going "who's that" "whats that" "why work calling now" etc etc lol

And that's why I like keeping my 7 Plus stationed somewhere and just relying on my Watch for notifications. Works flawlessly.

I have an app called Pedometer++ which is on the watch so no, doesn't need the phone as far as I know? Yes you can load up to 1gb I think it is of music to the watch then with a pair of headphones paired you can then listen to music without the phone too :)

Great, thanks for the prompt reply. Does the fact you use a separate app for walking mean the default Apple Health App does NOT work without the phone?

With all the sales on these Series 0 and Series 1 versions I'm really tempted to try one.

Now that I do not know? Just reading the app description it does integrate with the Health App but it also says for best results keep your iPhone on you lol.

I'm debating on whether to get an Apple Watch or not. I have an iphone 7 plus so it's kinda annoying to take that giant phone out of my pocket every time I get a notification.

Do you find your Apple Watch useful in daily life? I don't want to buy it if I'm only going to use it for the first few weeks and not use it after.

It's worth buying IMO. I have a SS one and really appreciate the toughness, even though it is a fairly fugly watch. I work with my hands very often so taking my phone out of my pocket every 10 seconds gets old, same when I'm in the car driving. The health aspects are decent, I use Motifit and the HR monitor a lot in the gym. Some other cool stuff is I can start my car and adjust my thermostat from the watch.

That sounds interesting, I assume you have to have certain cars or thermostats for that to work.

Yes I have an app for my car, it lets me start the car, change the car temperature/defrost, etc, lock/unlock, valet, curfew, and a bunch of other cool stuff, all from the watch. At home I have an Ecobee thermostat (awesome) that can be controlled with the watch.

I actually love the design of the Watch. I know many either don't care or disagree, but that's what attracted me to begin with.

I've been wanting one for a long time and finally used my birthday cash and bought a Series 1 a couple of nights ago. I have to be honest, so far I'm pretty luke-warm on it. Luckily I have until Jan 8 to decide if I like it or not with Apple's holiday return policy so I'll give it a good try. But 2 days in I'm not over impressed.

For me, yes. I had an android wear watch and found it buggy - that's not been my experience with the AW. I use mine daily and am still finding new (for me) things I can do with it and the apps are mostly pretty good. I had the original and now the 2.

Thanks everyone. I decided to give it a try. I ordered a stainless steel watch. I think I will like it!

I have an original gold aluminum, my only regret is not being patient and waiting to save for a stainless steel. If I can get at least another two years out of this one, my next Apple watch will be a stainless steel…if I am still buying iPhones by then.

That's primarily how I use my Apple Watch Stainless with notifications and E-mails. I weight lift more than I run, so the fitness application I only use temporarily. But it is expensive and worth it if you appreciate what it has to offer.
Totally agree with the above comment. I have the same situation as the above comment.
