No, not at all! I think they got the right amount of 'champagne' rather than it being a harsh gold. Looks tasteful and classy, it's the one I'm getting! iPhone 5S in gold, 16GB.

I dont think it looks cheesy or pimp I think its just a nice looking colour and makes the iphone look cool. when weve had black and white and then a grey having a gold just feels special. sadly id of waited for the iPhone 6 or perhaps give the gold colour specific to a higher model say

I'm actually leaning toward the brown or the black. I'm going to start without a case though I think. My current 5 has no case and has held up very well.
