Currently I have an iPhone 6, iPad Air 2, and iPad mini 2. I'm not sure which is my favorite since each of them has different uses in different situations. Having said that, if the retina mini had been released 2 years earlier, before I had an iPhone, I doubt I would have an iPhone. A dumb phone/iPad mini + free T-mobile data would have been enough.

I answered no but it was very very close for me. The iPhone is number 1 and has been since my first one (3G). However, when I started college in 2010, the iPad became essential for school. I've save enough money on textbooks, weather it be through PDF versions or various textbook apps, to pay for about 3 or 4 iPads at this point. Not to mention not having to carry around multiple thousand page engineering books. This thing has been a life saver and that's not even beginning to talk about how awesome it is for personal use.

I love my iPad. But I can't live without my iPhone.

I'm just the opposite. I don't go anywhere without my iPad, but for my iPhone I'm still using a 4S because I just don't use it enough to warrant an upgrade. Honestly, I could probably get by without an iPhone at all, except I love the new text integration between the devices.

But my iPad is where it's at for me, with a keyboard folio attached.

I really love my new MBPro, too (just switched from PC about 2 months ago--it's revolutionized the way I compute). But my iPad is my go-to device.

If I had an LTE iPad maybe but mine is wifi only. I figure since I already have to pay for data on the iPhone why pay twice.

My rMBP/MBa are my most used
iMac 2nd most used
iPhone 6+ 3rd
AppleTV 4th
and iPad comes in as the least used Apple Device in my household.

For my wife I'd say iPhone 6+, rMBP, then iPad Air 2.

My rMBP is my favorite device although not working nearly as well since updating to Yosemite. I do love my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 also though.

Nope. The iPad is very good (i have an iPad Air 1) but there is still a LOT of room for improvement. The 13" Macbook Air (2013-2014) is my favorite Apple device thus far.

Yes. It is. Nothing like curling up in bed with the web in your hands. I also find it beautiful. I really wish Apple released the 3rd gen mini with all of the updates of the Air 2. I am a small person and I prefer the smaller form factor.

That's a tough call. I certainly enjoy my iPad and, at times, use it more than my other devices, but it still doesn't qualify as my favorite.

I'd have to say my rMBP is my favorite because it's fast, sleek, and does it all. Then my iPhone 6 would have to be second favorite because it portable, light, and always with me. My iPad comes in third, but that's not to say it isn't enjoyable or used often.

Not my favorite but gets used the most. Each iDevice has it's own purpose I guess. They're all great I would say!

iPhone 6 Plus
iPad Air
rMBP

None of these are my favourite, as all are completely different.

I use the rMBP the most, carry the 6 Plus the most, and use the iPad outside, having a cold one. All are the favourite in each use case.

My favourite is having an ecosystem where I can enjoy one integrated solution over varying devices

It used to be my favourite until ios 7.1.2. Now i hate this thing (mini2) so much on ios 8.1.2 because of jerky animations. I wanna throw it against the wall and break it into pieces lol

The only two Apple devices I have ever owned are the iPad 2 and the Air 2, so yes, that makes the product line also my favorite one. :p

8.1.2 is pretty horrendous. I wouldn't say it makes me want to throw my iPad against the wall or anything, but it is definitely annoying as hell whenever you leave an app and the animation is a jumpy mess. Also, my iPad has to be restarted every few days because it will take literally 5 whole seconds to rotate. Anything involving the keyboard causes dramatic frame drops, the issue is twice as bad if you use the split keyboard. It's uncommon to find situations where rotating doesn't cause a frame drop or two either. Very very sad for a 1 year old device.

My iPad mini 2 is my favorite device to use, but the frame drops make it quite unpleasant at times. Can't live without this perfect size for content of any kind though...

This doesn't happen with mine. At all. You should get a genius bar appointment to see what is causing you system to jerk like that.

Lol go to your home screen, slide down for spotlight and turn the iPad. You will see what he means immediately. Or you could always go to any website, click on the URL bar, SPLIT THE KEYBOARD, and slide up for control center, or do anything. Multitasking gestures lag horrendously here, Notification Center, starting Siri, anything you can think of. For me, typing sight he split keyboard at all is horrible. The text input is way behind the keystrokes, it's really really slow and just bad. And it's not my device or his specifically, it's everybodies iPad mini 2, 3, or air. Observed it on every A7 iPad.

Despite all this I still love my iPad mini 2 somehow. Such a perfect size for content of any kind.

I did almost all that out of curiosity and i dont notice most of what you say. The text input certainly is not way behind the keystrokes with the split keyboard there. It is not as fast as the air2, but still. I only noticed a bit of lag when launching siri in that position. It also rotates almost instantly and i haven't restarted it since i upgraded to ios 8.

Yourfirst example is reducilous. You don't change orientation mid gesture, at least I dont.
I've noticed that the orientation doesn't switch in mail on my rMini when it should sometimes, but you are asking for things to happen that shouldn't imo. I've split the keyboard on very rare occasion as the spacing blows and my text input is spot on, unles you are talking about within the split keyboard, then I don't know for prior reasons.
I guess it is in the way we use our devices.

Yes, probably tied with the iPhone. As far as desktops go I've moved back to a mostly Windows environment, although my 2010 iMac is still running pretty well.

I really like iOS. I know it isn't as complex as the Android stuff out there, but I love the simplicity and software available. And the hardware itself is perfect. Perfect size, display ratio, screen quality, and build quality. All superior to competing products.

I really want a stylus, so I was checking out the Galaxy Note tablets, and while I was impressed with the pen, I was just so put off by TouchWiz.

That said if the iPad doesn't adopt a stylus this will probably be my last one, because Windows 10 looks pretty good and Surface Pro 4 might be the Surface I finally buy.

I have to say my MBA is my favorite. I even share display with my iMac instead of sitting at the iMac if I need the extra power. I have and iPad mini and have had a full size iPad but I find I only play games on them. If I'm watching something while enjoying my morning cereal, I like the 13" screen of the MBA. All that being said... if the iPad mini had native phone capability, I would dump the iPhone and carry the mini and hold it up to my ear and let people stare.

My Apple devices rankings for those I have:
1. Macbook Air
2. iMac
3. AppleTV
4. iPad Mini
5. iPhone 5s
6. iPod Classic
