Is the iPhone 3gs werth the money?

IMO, unless you can honestly answer "yes" to the question "Is this a device I feel I can't live without?", there is no smartphone worth that much money.

The iPhone is one of those devices that you don't think you need but once you get it you can't live without it. I was always an iPod addict, couldn't go any where without my music and podcasts. Now I can use the web at the same time!
I find the device a cure for the couch potato! Can do most things on it I'd usually use a mac for. Including posts on forums.

I wouldn't pay 50 cents for a red sox ticket but some people pay $100 for a ticket with a face value $40.

To me a non-jailbroken iphone is worth no more than a razr

upgrading from 2G.....Worth it because of the 3G speeds.
First time buyer ........Definitely worth it. You should experience iphone.

I would say it's worth it from 3g IF you qualify for the full discount.
at full price, it's not.

Definitely worth it from first gen.
