Especially because AT&T will most likely want to charge you another $15/month to have it on your phone because you will use more bandwidth on your unlimited data plan.

Just out of interest, is the new Iphone due for launch in the summer finished/completed?

I don't really undestand the timescales on the Apple product launches but am intrigued to see if its completed?

In the case of the first iPhone model, Jobs publicly showed us a prototype in January 2007, after giving a private showing to ATT in December 2006.

Secret mass field testing (~200 users) began in mid-April 2007. The testers used special covers to hide the phones.

FCC approval was granted in mid-May 2007.

In mid June 2007, Apple announced that it would have a glass screen instead of the original plastic.

Sales began the end of June 2007.

No design/ case leaks so far. There would be one usually this time of the year.

You better do a good and fast job, -aggie-. I want a front facing camera, 1TB capacity, 2GHz A8 chip and a new design. BTW, I want it to be called iPhone 3GSSSS.

I'm sure the case design is finalized, probably specs too. But rather irrelevant since Apple won't show it off until maybe a month or so before release. Traditionally late June/early July is the next model year launch period. However, Apple should be announcing the iPhone 4.0 OS in the next 60 days.
