I have a chance to get an older ATI MBP at a steal, and was wondering how much lighter those machines were over the new unibody ones. Does anyone know?

The new UB 17" is actually 0.2 lbs lighter (6.6 vs 6.8 lbs).

50 grams lighter, like two and a half correctional glasses.

Not really noticeable if you're somehow in shape.

My Penryn MBP is 2.45kg while the Unibody MBP is 2.5kg. So yes, the Unibody is heavier.
