All the blogs and reviewers seem to be saying that the white iPad makes the tablet's colors more dull, compared to black one. I love how the white iPad looks --- but I would not want the color to compromise day-to-day use.

Is the white really that bad?

I hope not, but if the white rim really is too distracting then I would be open to go for the black.

My wife and I got black and white and we don't see any difference.

Just get whatever bezel you like and you won't be disappointed.

Just personal preference. I prefer black, but don't see anything wrong with white really. I just think white makes the border (which is already to wide IMO) stand out more than the black does.

Imho, if you like watching movies, then get the black bezel, you'll thank me later! :)

If it bothers you, then exchange it for a black. If it doesn't, then you don't have too. Go with what YOU like, not what others like, or not even what the majority likes. It's YOUR iPad, go with the color that YOU like. Easy as that.

It's no different than any other decision regarding color, you've got to decide after you see it.

My preference is Black

I didn't know that you could exchange it just because you didn't like the color, thanks! :)

Everyone's preference is different go with what you like. Don't worry about what everyone else thinks. Personally I bought the white one I brought it home and after a couple of hours I found the white bezel too distracting and ended up returning it.

I had my white for a day and actually just got back from exchanging it for a black one. Personally, I'm happier now with the color... the light bleed on the other hand... not so much. Gonna go back in a few days and swap out for a new one. Other than that, I like black better. :D

Thanks for the responses!

hmmm, I wonder, does the white bezel stand out when watching a movie in the dark?

Was exchanging it easy or was it more of a hassle?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

I'm sure it's just some people being paranoid. I personally felt black was a better fit. But I do like the way the white looks. Just prefer black

got the white, i have a little backlight issue but no issue with the white bezel itself i will not be returning for a black for sure.

I'm sitting in a dark room typing this and my white bezel is unnoticeable. I love the white!!!

Who ever gets distracted by a white bezel really ness to see a doctor for some OCD mess...how do you even drive without getting distracted by your a-pillars and crashing...I think some people are just mad they chose one way or the other and are trying to make themselves feel better

Got to compare the white and black models today. I was surprised to see the difference between the two as I was leaning towards the white one until I saw the difference. The colors in the same photo were brighter and pop out better with the black and the movies stood out as well. So it was a no brainer for me, I went with the black.
