I have the wonderful lightning SD card reader (and USB to lightning converter, also cool). I used it quite a bit for getting stuff onto an iPad Mini.

Now I've ordered the MBR12 and I wonder, if the converter is available, whether or not I could use that reader.

Ideas?

The closest thing I find in the Apple Store is a USB to USB-C converter.

Basically what I need is a female lightning to male USB-C.

The things I've found online so far are male to male, such as a USB-C to lightning.

No, you would have to buy a USB-C to SD-card adapter.

Apple, for some reason, still don't offer a male Lightning to female USB-C adapter, despite pushing it as the USB-A replacement.

I don't think Apple would release one, but you could also see if a USB-C tip for a multi-port cable works for data as well. It isn't a guaranteed solution but it could work.

I've been looking for the same with no success. There is an Arktek adapter which physically accomplishes this, but the signals are transmitted properly.
