Yeah, call them up and tell them you are super super special so you need an earlier delivery.

I kinda did that once under dire circumstances. Emailed Tim Cook, within a few hours I was contacted by head of customer service.
Moved it up almost two full weeks. I was very grateful.

You have seen nothing yet! Have you ever heard of using dance to learn (get into your muscle memory) English? I think 1980s (or 90s?) Japan had these English learning videos.

Also....so...do you have a bad case of Apple-itis? How would dance to that. LOL.

‘I now have to clean the Gentleman Jack off my iPad Pro!

You are right, it gets more bizarre than I could have ever imagined!

Look at that, my advice has been validated! Where's the person who told me this was snarky?

I wonder if celebrities are able to get it sooner. Like if you're Kanye or a Kardashian, I wonder if 1 text message or phone call could you get you the new phone.

Maybe Apple would see it as advertising?

Anyway, I didn't expect this question to get so many replies. Back in the 90s you could just request many things and often times businesses would honor it.

It wasn't such a big deal.

100% use the apple store app to check store pickup stock for your preferred size/color/carrier each night and morning. I've given this advice to two people who both had October dates and they each were able to find a 14 Pro / Pro Max within a couple days locally and then cancel their original orders.

Cheers for the advice, I'll give that a go. I ended up returning the launch day purple because I didn't love it, and missed the gold, and now I'm playing the waiting game of 4-5 weeks for shipping. I'm actually not that fussed, because I've got my 13PM to fall back on and I've already got to play around with the 14PM, but this is a pretty easy thing to try.

4-5 weeks isn't an issue when you're replacing it with a color you'll truly enjoy. Yes, the wait stinks, but you'll be happier in the end.

Yep, and since I've already gotten to use the 14PM for a couple weeks, I've gotten to experience it anyway so I'm not anxiously awaiting it. Still, if they do happen to have one available for pickup that'll be a nice little win.

Yeah, exactly. And like you said, you still have your 13 in the meantime. I think I'm digging the dynamic island more than most. Starting to develop an unhealthy obsession with it. 😅 Well, maybe not that bad, but it's still one of my fav features.

If you work in an office in front of a computer all day you will score one easily. I picked up a 128gb SB Pro Max yesterday at my Apple Store and 10 minutes ago got another one for my wife.

Both instances, I've found stock to be updated at all stores around me between 10 AM and 11 AM central, for what it's worth. You have to be quick, i.e., signed into Apple, phone in cart, ready to go.

This is so out of touch with reality it's hilarious.
