Don't worry about being a newb at grammar, some of the replies you've received show distinct signs of generic Lysdexia!

If you really need portability occasionally, the 17" will probably suit you best. Train/classroom/coffee shop envy will be off the scale too. But you will know you've got it when you do carry it about. The 15" is heavy enough imo.

The iMac is a killer machine. I love mine. I also have a 15" MBP, as well as a host of legacy machines dating back to the last Century. Don't even consider transporting an iMac though. Far too heavy unwieldy.

The 17" MBP is the only one that's caused my envy nodes to glow for a long time - maybe since I went out to buy my first PowerBook Ti.

Go to an Apple Store and play with them all. Then check out all the deals on offer. RAM is cheaper than it used to be from Apple, but Crucial still rocks.

Finally, welcome to the Mac community. You just took the first step to changing your life for the better:)

FYI im a newb with grammer and Macs.

Alright, im looking at the MBP 15" 2.53ghz and the 17" 2.66ghz.

Im a current high school student so I need a MBP that will fit those needs.
I am going to be going into the automotive field for my career. I play WoW and I like to have all settings on high.

So my question really is, is there really any difference b/t the 2 MBP im choosing from?

Thanks for your time:)
