Is there any reason for Leopard's release before WWDC in June?

Okay, enough already! OS 10.5, Leopard, has already been released. We just haven't caught up to that date in the timeline yet. Our future selves are already using it and enjoying it. And if you're wondering what the release date is....it's actually currently infinite. That release date will collapse into 1 date when it's announced....which is, itself, currently infinite until the announcement of the announcement date is made.... :rolleyes:

I don't think even Microsoft would have the balls to say that.

well.......so much for June. Take a look at the front page of MacRumors.

"Apple has today announced that the release of MacOS X 10.5 Leopard will be delayed until October due to the development of iPhone.

iPhone contains the most sophisticated software ever shipped on a mobile device, and finishing it on time has not come without a price -- we had to borrow some key software engineering and QA resources from our Mac OS® X team, and as a result we will not be able to release Leopard at our Worldwide Developers Conference in early June as planned.
Developers will be given a beta copy of Leopard at the Worldwide Developers Conference in early June."
