Why do they constantly fix things that aren't broken? I don't notice any improvement in speed or stability. But I certainly notice that annoying caps key. I really am absolutely done with updates.

Green llama.

Now you're thinking of a green llama. You wouldn't have thought about a green llama if I didn't point it out. The more I say "green llama", the more you think about the green llama.

Same thing with the caps key. It annoys you because you keep focusing on it, and the more you focus on it, the more it annoys you. I assure you, nobody else would choose to stay on 7.0.x over 7.1.x. Therefore, nobody is going to give you a noticeably different response to the ones you've seen so far in this thread.

Not all updates are good, and the 7.1 series isn't perfect, but it by far improves on 7.0.x. If you can get over the little caps key thing, I think you'll come to agree.

I see what you're saying but believe me I don't choose to be annoyed by things. It stands out like a sore thumb.

Why does everyone keep talking about security updates? Who gets their phone hacked into??

Because these are known security holes that the updates address. The information's out there, so hackers know about these issues as well.

If the caps issue still bothers you, then wait for the iOS 8 update, since it will allow you to install third-party keyboards. Like I said, I got used to the UI changes and moved on. The improved stability and smoothness, and security fixes override any gripes I might have over the UI.

Lots of people felt the same as you when this update was released. Now? Hardly anyone is talking about it. It's one of those things that seems strange at first, and after a little bit, you completely forget about it and move on. Likely the same situation here.

On my iPhone 5, iOS 7.1.0 was terrible. Super short battery life compared to 7.0.x, crashes, etc. 7.1.1 was a slight improvement, and 7.1.2 has been much better.

I would update simply because of security updates. Basically they've patched up some holes to keep hackers out and your information safe.
