Yea, this is the new 2015 machine.
I think it due to indexing process that still take place.
anyway, 2014 is not officially supporting Monterey, so you won't be able to compare it in a straight manner, not unless you installing the OpenCore on your 2014
The new NVME should be able to hit 1475 read btw, and around 1200-1300 write.
Hi mate 🙏🏻
Yeah I thought so too with the indexing, but it's scoring the same again today (or even a little lover around 880/910).
There is no guarantees this is an original drive either though, it is refurbed after all.
The NVME should arrive today, then I'm opening it up and we will know.
The guy actually cheated me a little, I thought it would be a 3.1 ghz i7, it's only a 2,7 ghz i5.
That's a machine preforming around 10% worse right? not sure how much it will matter.
At least it's in good condition otherwise, a little bump in a corner and a hairline in the bottom.
The screen is perfect with no pest... and the keyboard feels like new.
500 cycles in on the battery.
Ohh your linked actually gave the NVME lower reading around 1000 ... I will be soooo pleased if those numbers you write there will be true.
None the less this will be the machine I'll have to work on, the next year or two.
This is the 2015 13" btw.
As for the 2014 13" true, we can't really compare them ... that one was actually higher clocked also at 2,8 ghz.

I'm still thinking about if I should put this back to Catalina ... I liked that better ... or just get used to this newer Monterey crap ... not sure what preforms best?
If I keep Monterey on this one ... I will try to patch the 2013 27" iMac to run it as well ... so the 2014 MacBook with the broken keyboard, that I plan to turn into a media server or something.
