Is there any way to run MBA 13" at 1680x1050 resolution?

    Is there any way to run MBA 13" at 1680x1050 resolution? Can we use third party apps or anything?

    Buy an external monitor, any resolution that you like.
    The screen has 1440 x 900 pixels. That's it. No way to change it.

    There is an app that will do this - it has been discussed here before. It creates a virtual screen whatever size you want, then scales it to the native pixel dimensions.

    I have to believe that looks like crap, but several people posted to that thread saying it was useful. Sorry, can't remember the name of the app.

    It does indeed suck, unless you have more pixels than the resolution you are targeting, that is.

    The native resolution of your MBA is 1400x900. Anything larger will of course look crap. This is just common sense.
