I bought a 256 GB iPhone 8 space gray with Apple Care Plus and also a nice case to go with it, but I've still been using my iPhone 6S.

I plan on keeping my iPhone 8 256 GB as just a backup.

I love my iPhone 6S to be honest.

That makes zero sense to me. There isn’t a category in which the 6s Plus is superior and I know as I moved from it to the 8 Plus 256 this week.

Lol why you bought 8 now with so much capacity if you like your 6s. You could have bought it after 2 to 3 months when prices goes down. I am selling my 6s, i liked it but i like 8 more. 8 is much faster too.

Sentimental value for me. I just love my phone. And it works great.

I do plan on keeping my 256 GB iPhone 8 bc having a backup works well for me. Sometimes I just need an extra device.

But I plan on keeping my 6S as my daily driver.

If its a sentimental value then keep it on your desk etc.. But use the latest faster model, i am sorry I don’t understand why you bought 8? So when will you use 8 at home only? As a backup you could have bought another new 6S.

Idk my 6S has a sentimental value for me. I just love the phone itself.

I do like to have the iPhone 8 256 GB bc like I said having an extra device is nice and it's good to have the space.

I know the cost, but heck sometimes it's nice to live a little.

I don't really use the 8 at all in terms of daily use at this time but sometimes I will prob need it like when I travel then it's good to have it.

I prefer 2 devices too but now I am planning to sell all my previous gen iphones. Will keep 8 and s8 plus. One small & one big, plus different OS.

Nope, sold my 6S when I got my 8. The 6S was a great phone, but it was beginning to show its age and was getting a little bit laggy.

To those saying this post is fake, not true.

Can't something have sentimental value to someone???

Hey, to each their own.

I think it's sweet. They love their phone SO much they can't even let go. But WAIT, they still want a family!
Now they have the young buck to help around the house (as backup )

Shouldn't it be kinda the opposite? That your new phone should be your daily driver and your old phone as the backup? That's the plan for me with my iPhone 6. It's my first iPhone and there is some sentimental value there. But not enough to keep using it as my primary phone. I will just keep it around as a backup for my new phone.

I would miss the headphone jack. But not enough to keep it as my primary phone though.
