Is there anyone else still using their iPhone 6S AFTER buying the iPhone 8?!?!?

I haven't upgraded yet because I still use the headphone jack, however if it doesn't come back next year I think I'll be switching to Android. I listen to podcasts and music for 10-12 hours a day and bluetooth is useless outdoors in the wind.

How is Bluetooth useless outdoors in the wild? It works just as good if I’m out camping in the Canadian Rockies, or comfortably in my bedroom.

If you cover the antenna with your hand, it cuts out... well that's what it does in the wind constantly. If you move your head side to side or you run it cuts out, if you have your phone n your back pocket it cuts out, if your hand brushes past the antenna on the headphones or phone it cuts out.

These are split second loss in signal, but it becomes so annoying when it happens 3 or 4 times per song. Like i said in the wind (it's always windy here) it's doing it constantly.... plus bluetooth headphones want to use ANC these days and IT SUCKS because the mics pick up the wind, they have bad passive NC too.

Seems like the only headphones you can get with good passive NC are wired.

Sentimental value for me. I just love my phone. And it works great.

I do plan on keeping my 256 GB iPhone 8 bc having a backup works well for me. Sometimes I just need an extra device.

But I plan on keeping my 6S as my daily driver.

It does work great. I love my 6s. We're finally at the point where upgrades are truly incremental....until the next big breakthrough.

I thought this, I sent my phone back twice and got replacements... the same, I sent my headphones back... the same. I then decided to buy three more pairs for some reason, I get the same. If you're indoors Bluetooth works fine, if you're outdoors in the wind it sucks.

When I sae three more pairs, I got QC35, MDR1000X and AirPods.. I did use Beats but the build quality is so bad they broke on the hinge.

I had those issues with my Note 3 but not my 6s or 8.

Then it appears you will be switching to android, because the headphone jack is not coming back. Apples vision is the AirPods and Bluetooth is their future. If there is one thing I can be confident on, the 3.5 mm Jack is not returning at least in the sense of the iPhone.

I’m a runner and use the AirPods and the Bluetooth has only rarely cut out. When I do road runs my iPhone 6s is tucked in a running belt inside a plastic bag (in case of rain) and when I’m on the trails it’s in my pack also still in a plastic bag. I’ve been using the AirPods since January and have ran in wind, rain, -25C freezing cold, and snow and I think the Bluetooth has cut out less than ten times. I did a 40k trail race this summer and it was fine throughout. A few weeks ago I did a 10k run in the rain and wind and again, no cutouts at all.

It’s not perfect, but I’ve been impressed. I was of the belief that Bluetooth wouldn’t be good enough for running but my experience has completely changed my view. I think it’s pretty stable overall.

You might want to get your phone’s Bluetooth tested. I had an iPhone replaced due to bad Bluetooth. It was having trouble making connections to my Garmin watch. I thought it was the watch, but when I went in to the Apple store because of battery issues they ran a test and my Bluetooth was bad. Might be worth a check.

I just use my iPhone 6S as an iPod Touch, for Music and as an alarm clock. But iPhone 8 Plus for everything, iPad Pro 10.5 for playing Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends, and Watching Movies.

Agreed. 6S is a great phone, ultimately, I think iOS 11 in some respects has also contributed to the slowdown.

It is also True that iOS 11 is one of the Reason the iPhone 6S became much cheaper quickly even it has 2gb of ram. iOS 11 is a slowdown on 6S just like what happened in iPhone 4S in iOS 8. While iPhone 6 is just as slow like iPhone 4S in iOS 9, and iPhone 5S is even Worst on 4S on iOS 9. As it is still clocked at 1.3Ghz similar to iPhone 5.

1. iPhone 5 score 7/10 it performed well on iOS 10.3.3 loading camera only takes 0.4 seconds, while 5S takes 2-3 seconds on iOS 11. Because even 5S is a 64 bit IT IS ONLY CLOCKED AT 1.3GhZ SIMILAR to iPhone 5
2. iPhone 2G It runs iOS 3 surprisingly well but not as good as iPhone 5, it is also Not Forced unlike other iPhones.
3. iPhone 3GS THough it should not be on least because iOS 6 is a Ram Hungry, but it is still better than iPhone 4 on iOS 7

1. iPhone 4S score 4/10 iOS 7/8 should be it's last because of 800Mhz even a light app takes couple to several seconds to load.

2. iPhone 5S Score 4.1/10 It is still Slightly better on iPhone 4S on some areas like animations are faster, but loading apps especially heavy games can just as PAR with 4S.

3. iPhone 4 Score 5/10 THis iPhone managed to get iOS 7 because of 512 MB Ram however, it is not forced unlike the 4S and 5S which is obviously forced to update that is why crippled their performance.
