Seems to me, if Apple want to make it in markets like India, then they'll need to lower the price. That won't happen any time soon, though their 6.1" may beg to differ, & could be their Ace to crack said markets.

I agree ! Surprisingly Apple is doing well in China despite the adverse environment there !! Perhaps the disposable income of the middle class in China is much much higher than Indians !! Indian Middle Class barely survives !! so for them owning an iPhones is like having a Lincoln or any other American Luxury Car !

And that is why the Indian Government steps in when capitalist company like Apple wants to squeeze the hell out of the Indian Poor and Middle Class ! Apple in India has got some attitude going with the Government !! that is what they have been fighting with the Indian Government !! Apple wants a special status ! Reforms and subsidies in everything which ain't happening !

The average person in India has far bigger fish to fry day to day than trying to get their hands on an iPhone - like having shelter and clean water to drink.
