Second, the bag you have is not really metro, as js81 asserts.

Metro (a.k.a., Metrosexual) = a heterosexual man with strong concerns for apperance...

That's what the bag says to me. It says "hi, I'm not gay, but I sure do care for what I look like." Nothing wrong with that, of course, but most men DON'T want that. I like the bag - but my wife likes it more. :) But then again, I carry a nylon backpack...

Forgot to say - I am homosexual and I quite like the bag - does that help at all? You might be able to help me, too - I carry my laptop in either a TNF rucksack or, if I've got a lot of stuff, a TNF wheeled pack. Do you think that might make me look too straight? It is a constant worry.

Hey Kufford - this you?

The picture of the fish being clubbed on the 'welcome' page is particularly charming. I'd assumed you must have a halfway reasonable excuse for carrying firearms, but obviously not.

God, the USA is a f**ked up place.

Not me, although you've hit on a family member so you're getting closer. I'm not sure what I did to offend you as to deserve your attitude but I apologize.

My apologies. Not big on the old handgun thing and was a little perturbed by the tone of the thread.

It's a good thing you aren't forced to own one then.

Yeah, those boys at Columbine were particularly well-grounded.

And, by the way, in my line of work I come into contact with quite a lot of weapons. I'm not afraid of them because they aren't in the hands of an amateur.

All I'm saying is that this particular bag is not that metro. It's looks too big and bulky to score highly on the metro scale. My leather bag, bought in Fes, holds my MBP, it's charger, and some papers. I may be able to squeeze in a water bottle, and perhaps a small book. Wouldn't want it any other way.

But of course, I'm not packing.

If you have to ask "is it a purse"?

then it is...

If I was a guy, I'd have a rule about it... No soft edges, no plethora of zippers.

Black with lots of velcro is a sign of macho. Zippers and side pockets not so much.
