maybe many dust in your fan or heatsink. please open and clean manually (becareful).

FYI, i have MBA 2010 and i think we have the similiar problem, so i try to open hardcase and clean the heatsink and fan from dust and i got 30% cooler before.

95C??? I'm over here stressing over 65C!! lol whewww.....Just spent an hour googling why my macbook was getting hot but I guess 65C isn't even that hot compared to what you guys are getting!

EDIT: oops, didn't read that this section was for macbook air's, mine's a MBP 2009 13"....google brought me here.

The same is true for MBPs and MBAs. 65C is a normal temp for either, depending on the workload. It's nowhere near the upper end of the normal operating range.

Just adding my temperatures as this thread is old but still applicable.
13.3 Early 2014 A1466 slight water damage -(No backlight is only issue) Running in external monitor with Thunderbolt to HDMI playing Roblox (Murder Mystery 2) Fanspeed 6500 CPU 92°. CPU - was at 98°/99° & holding a while ago playing Prison Life but I have very clean heat-sink fins & fan (easy do-it-yourself task.) I also want to replace my CPU heatsink paste- will follow-up when I get that done...
Just Google-eye'd things and ended up here - seems all is normal, according to my readings on this post.
Trying Phantom Forces now (My 13yr old is, that is...)

My question is; Can I determine exactly what the Kernal & SMD functions are determining when it runs into my backlight issue (results from sensors?) I see a very faint flicker on start-up then nothing on screen. Fuse to backlight is good and variant reading @ goes over 8 volts (more testing is necessary.)
Was going to take a pic of iStat but phone messed up. Will try again later.
[doublepost=1480680704][/doublepost]iStat temperatures etc.
Hope you can see the numbers I had to reduce resolution for the this upload.
